Lego - Not Just For Kids Anymore!

For many generations in the past, Lego has been known as a toy for children, but that is not the case anymore! Now it is being used for many different things including aiding in the use of improving motor skills for victims of a stroke and even being used in some works of art as a new medium. In Bochhignano, Italy, a group of spectacular, artists have created an innovative project using Legos to patch ancient walls.

The actual integrity of structure of the wall is not as a matter of fact dependent upon the toys, but the microscopic Legos add sufficient stability to strengthen the walls considerably. A group of artists, know as 20 Eventi, have had the ingenuity to generate spectacular, projects that can be viewed in four various small Italian towns. The artists used small and large Legos to fabricate various shapes to be built into tight places where portions of the ancient walls are missing. The effect is truly amazing. By adding the Legos, the walls have a smooth, continuous appearance, where previously the traditional wall was deteriorating and looked incomplete. Also, by adding plastic Legos, they have created an imaginable wall by combining old and new materials.
